Care seminar in Iver

Gabby Sanchez, District Manager of Walding and Son, who hosted the seminar presenting certificates for the care staff to Hazel Smith, Staff Nurse of Sunnyside Nursing Home.

Local, family owned funeral directors Walding and Son of High Street, Uxbridge recently organised and hosted a training seminar for care staff at Sunnyside Nursing Home.

The seminar was held at the nursing home in Iver High Street, Iver and was attended by care staff working at Sunnyside. The main objectives of the seminar were to assist staff towards qualifying for their NVQ certificates in Direct Care Levels 2 and 3 whilst also helping to dispel some of the myths and mysteries surrounding the funeral profession.

The seminar covered most aspects of documentation and registration procedures as well as the role and duties of the funeral director within the local community. Commenting on the seminar Gabby Sanchez, District Manager for Walding and Son, explained “We were delighted with both the attendance for the seminar and the interest shown by delegates. We are always pleased to organise free seminars for local care homes as it has been proven to help care staff qualify for their NVQ certificates. It is also an integral part of Walding and Son’s service to the local community”.
