| Local Funeral Directors undertake Bowls Sponsorship
Local family owned funeral directors Lodge Brothers are once again sponsoring four major bowls tournaments being held at local clubs.
The sponsorship programme starts on Monday 26th May with the annual Chertsey Invitation Tournament. This very popular one day Open event is being held at Chertsey Bowls Club.
The funeral directors are also sponsoring two County Bowls Matches to be held at Ashford Bowls Club. The first of these is a Mens match between Middlesex and Wiltshire on Thursday 3rd July. This is followed on Friday 18th July with a Ladies match between Middlesex and Surrey.
The fourth and final event being sponsored by Lodge Brothers is the Lodge Open Triples at Weybridge Bowls Club on Sunday 20th July. This annual Open tournament always attracts a large number of bowlers from all over the county.
Explaining their sponsorship of local bowls tournaments, Beverley Lodge Director of Lodge Brothers, commented “As a local family owned funeral directors serving local communities for over 225 years, we believe it is important that we play our part in supporting and helping to finance local events such as these very popular bowls tournaments.
