Poppy Appeal Open Day
As part of their campaign to support local and national charities, local funeral directors Lodge Brothers & Edmund & Sons are holding a Poppy Appeal Open Day on Saturday 8th November.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event which will be held from 10.00am to 1.00pm at 156 Walton Road, East Molesey. All proceeds raised will be donated to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal with Lodge Brothers & Edmund & Sons promising to double the amount of money raised at the Open Day.
Visitors will be able to look around the funeral home and Funeral Conductors and Funeral Arrangers will be on hand to answer any questions, to help dispel some of the myths and mysteries of what happens at a Funeral Directors.
Staff will also be available to offer advice and assistance on traditional and alternative funeral services, funeral planning, bereavement counselling, memorials and floral tributes.
Speaking about the charity fund raising event Robert Lodge, Chairman of Lodge Brothers, said “We are delighted to be able to open our premises to raise funds for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. We hope local people will come along and support this excellent charity whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a cake.”
